The factory was built on a land area of 220,000 sq feet and started with just one oven line and one wafer roll line. By 2007, Julie’s had two factories located in industrial estate of Alor Gajah and a third one in the industrial estate of Masjid Tanah with a total land area of 14.8 acres. Now the factories have 6 oven lines, 12 wafer roll lines, a wafer book line with a chocolate-coating line, and several sandwiching and wrapping machines.

Julie’s carried out drastic changes in 1999 to improve its operations and management, and obtained ISO:9002 certification a year later. Not one to rest on its laurels, Julie’s worked with a team of more than three dozen graduates to further upgrade its operations and control. The result was an upgraded accreditation to ISO 9001:2000.

Also in 2000, Julie’s underwent extensive plant renovation and upgrading, creating a clean and safe manufacturing environment. Two years later, the hard work paid off with the award of the prestigious HACCP certification (by BM Trada), emphasising on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in its factories. In March 2005, Julie’s received another HACCP Certification by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).

To expand the opportunity of widening its brand presence in European markets and Wal-Mart outlets, Julie’s underwent further factory upgrading in late 2005 and was awarded the British Retail Consortium food standard certification in June 2006. Also, in early 2006, Julie’s was awarded the Industry Excellence Award 2005 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

In 2007, Julie’s received 2 certifications namely Occupational Health & Safety Management System 18001:1999 (OHSAS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while ISO 22000:2005 International Standard certification has been awarded to its third factory.

Julie’s has upgraded its food safety management system to obtain achieve ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 certifications in 2015. 

All of our products had certified Halal by JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia).
